Production and Sourcing
The right transfer of the concept into a design is essential for the success of the solution. It determines efforts, costs, quality, repeatability and availability. Reason enough to work closely with AVTEC and out manufacturing partners in the network. Each single manufacturing methodology has its strength, each purchasing process its characteristics and advantages.
It depends on workload and free resources, which configuration is most meaningful for your customer and his project. Our manufacturing partners follow the principle of an extended workbench and produce the components as per our drawings. According to a strict quality management we assemble components and check transmissions in a final inspection. Some of our assemblies are quite standard, which will be then just modified or adopted.

Prototypes and Small Series
Prototypes and small series are mainly manufactured in Europe. Exceptionally also at AVTEC in India.
Series Production for Middle and Large Quantities
Series production for middle/large quantities are manufactured at our parent company AVTEC, considering high quality automotive standards and processes.
Basically we produce our Gears by using following Production Processes:
3D or 5 Axis Machining
3D- or 5 Axis-Machining is used for small series and largeparts. Application driven tooth corrections are developed by ASSAG and implemented in the gear tooth forming. High-precision tooth qualities can be easily achieved in soft- and as well through hard precise-machining.
Hobbing
Hobbing is used for mid and large serial quantities. The process stability at tooth qualities > 6 (DIN) is guaranteed; in soft- and as well through hard precise-machining.
